A Mixed-Use Development for the Village of Port Chester
Ivy Realty is proposing a mixed-use development in Downtown Port Chester that would invigorate the area surrounding the train station with 203 new apartments and approximately 10,000 square feet of modern ground-floor commercial space. The project, which is planned for North Main Street and Abendroth Avenue between Adee Street and Westchester Avenue, would support the Village’s vision for a more walkable, active and sustainable downtown.
Designed in accordance with the Village’s Comprehensive and Strategic Plans and the principles outlined by the Village of Port Chester Design Guidelines set forth in its new Character Based Code, the proposed development would fit seamlessly within the existing fabric of Downtown Port Chester, nearby streets with a new structure that is both dynamic and in-scale with the neighborhood’s eclectic mix of existing buildings.
To further ensure that the Village retains the qualities and character its residents have come to cherish, Ivy Realty has earmarked 10 percent of the proposed development’s apartments for low- and moderate-income residents. In addition Ivy Realty is providing a new home in the proposed building for Human Development Services of Westchester (HDSW), a non-profit that delivers quality behavioral health, rehabilitative, health, residential, and community stabilization services in Westchester County.
